Haro on single-use plastic, acceleration on recycling and ban on eternal pollutants: the European Parliament and the 27

Months of tough and long negotiations were necessary to arrive, this Tuesday, March 5, on a text acceptable to the 27 member states.

Objective: to reduce our volume of waste production which continues to increase with, in our sights, this packaging omnipresent in products consumed on a daily basis which it is possible to reduce or even eliminate completely.

The latter represented 200 kg of waste on average per French person in 2021 (+ 10 kg compared to the previous year), and 190 kg on average per European citizen with a horizon of nearly 210 kg in 2030 in the event that no measures no restriction is envisaged.
