Ginevra discovered at 19 that she had a rare bone tumor, and now works on an illustrated book to tell children what cancer is, while Enza fought metastatic lung adenocarcinoma with chemotherapy, 'armed' with an impeccable lipstick.

After breast cancer, Rossella helps other women in her situation to deal with the disease.

They are three of the fifteen models, all former patients, who will parade on March 8th at the Borromeo college in Pavia wearing creations made with hospital sheets by the stylist Leonarda Nada Nuovo.

The fashion show is the highlight of the show 'Portraits of women' which together with Cnao, Policlinico San Matteo and Irccs Maugeri of Pavia they wanted to dedicate to oncology patients, a way to underline that taking care of yourself and your appearance can help you regain well-being psycho-physical.

After the comedian Laura Formenti and the composer Eros Cristiani, the 15 patient-models will 'perform' for a day, styled by the students of the Ciofs professional center in Pavia and made up by Revlon make-up artists, with clothes inspired by Botticelli's Primavera, such as symbol of rebirth.

The artist Stefano Bressani will project a series of images onto them, dressing them in color and transforming them into living sculptures.

"The fashion show intends to dress, as well as the body, above all the wounds left by cancer in the body and soul of these women" explained Ester Orlandi, researcher at the University of Pavia and director of the Clinical Department of the Cnao, underlining the ability to network health facilities.

"Thanks to the synergy between Cnao, Maugeri and San Matteo - added Laura Locati, professor of Medical Oncology and head of the Maugeri Medical Oncology SC - shared paths are emerging that offer support in the phase following treatments, the delicate one of the gradual return to a normal life."

The entrepreneur showgirl Carolina Marconi will also talk about this experience in an exchange in which all the women present will participate, each with a story to tell.
