Early childhood professionals are escaping the savings that the government is seeking in all directions.
Visiting a daycare center in Colombes (92) on Tuesday, Catherine Vautrin, Minister of Labor, Health and Solidarity - accompanied by Sarah El Haïry, Minister Delegate in charge of Children, Youth and Families - announced salary increases for 150,000 staff working in public and private daycare centers.

This increase provides up to 150 euros net more per month for private sector employees and 100 euros net for public sector staff.
The latter benefit at the same time from the upgrading measures put in place by the Ministry of Civil Service.
The employees concerned are those working in establishments financed by the single service provision (PSU).
While the government wants to create 200,000 new childcare solutions by 2030 for young children, this measure is part of efforts to make early childhood professions more attractive, at a time when the sector is facing challenges. major challenges, particularly in terms of recruitment and working conditions.
At the same time, the government is committed to improving the quality of early childhood care, by developing a quality benchmark and strengthening inspections and controls of nurseries.
The credits provided for in the multi-year budgetary trajectory of the National Family Allowance Fund will make it possible to finance these increases up to 66%, indicated Catherine Vautrin's office.
The date of implementation of the measure will depend on the negotiation deadlines in the different branches.
