The solidarity bequest is an instrument increasingly known and chosen by Italians and, above all, by Italian women.
A survey conducted by the Solidarity Testament Committee, which includes 28 non-profit organisations, certifies that
women are more inclined to make a solidarity legacy: a fact which adds to a general greater propensity towards the non-profit world,
both from the point of given the inclination to donate, and with respect to active involvement as Third Sector workers.
For 69.2% of non-profit organizations it is women who donate a bequest, while for 31% the joint will is chosen equally by men and women.
In general, the data on female participation in the world of the Third Sector are very high: over 75% of those who work in the Third Sector are women and the majority of users dedicated to solidarity purchases are female.
"The contribution and significant push that women give to the mission of non-profit organizations is undeniable, both because they constitute the majority of workers in fundraising and communication in the Third Sector, and because, as confirmed by the data from our latest survey , an ever-increasing number of women are choosing to take the path of post-mortem generosity" says Rossano Bartoli, spokesperson for the Solidarity Testament Committee and president of the Lega del Filo d'Oro.
