The bishop of Civita Castellana Marco Salvi issued a decree declaring the non-supernatural nature of the alleged apparitions of the Madonna in Trevignano.
The Bishop therefore warns "the faithful to refrain from organizing and/or participating in private and/or public meetings (whether for prayer and/or catechesis) which make the supernatural truth of the events in Trevignano certain and indubitable" and imposes "on Mrs. Mrs. Gisella Cardia to Mr.
Gianni Cardia and to all those involved in various capacities in the events of Trevignano, respect and adherence to the decisions of the diocesan Bishop, as well as the willingness to undertake a process of purification and discernment that promotes and maintains ecclesial unity".
