A man, a woman, Brad Pitt and Pénélope Cruz: here, in a few words, is the content of a new Chanel video campaign produced by the duo Inez and Vinoodh, released this Tuesday March 5 on the occasion of the fall-winter fashion show the French house, in Paris.
The American actor and his Spanish counterpart play two transfixed lovers, in a refined black and white production, for a homage to the film

On the sidelines of a notable fashion show, the idea of having Brad Pitt and Pénélope Cruz meet in a one-minute video in homage to Claude Lelouch's film released in 1966 seems to be a success.
Broadcast just before the models parade, it gives pride of place to the couple.
We thus see them walking in the footsteps of Jean-Louis Trintignant and Anouk Aimée, reenacting scenes as legendary as that of the restaurant, the car or the ballad on the stage of Deauville.
Thus, the short film begins with the music of Francis Lai, Brad Pitt and Pénélope Cruz in a car, their voices off-camera, where we understand that they are ordering a dish at the restaurant: “What should I have? ?,” she asks him, “I don’t know... And why not steak,” he replies.
In the next scene, we actually find them seated at a table, a Chanel bag sitting majestically between them.
The waitress, played by model Rianne Van Rompey, seems somewhat exasperated by their hesitations.
Then return to Deauville beach, on the boards, with a very discreet cameo of Claude Lelouch walking with his dog.
Brad Pitt and Pénélope Cruz, both dressed in black, exchange an intense and loving look.
Bringing them together for the first time on screen, especially to play a couple, created an event.
A tribute worthy of the film.
Chabadabada.
