After the success of the first edition, with more than 40,000 visitors, Porta Venezia Design District, 'The other district', returns to Milan Design Week 2024 with the theme 'EverythinK is design'.
Reflecting the inclusiveness and diversity, intrinsic characteristics of the neighborhood, the district intends to incorporate multiple areas within the concept of design, understood in the broadest sense of conception and planning.
The concept is inspired by Paul Rand, legend of graphic design, for whom design is the method that allows the union between form and content and just like art, it has multiple and infinite definitions.
In the 2024 edition of 'The Other District' - it was anticipated at the presentation of the various initiatives - there will be a strong focus on new trends and emerging designers.
For the occasion, Milanosport will reopen the doors of the former public bathrooms of the historic Cozzi swimming pool: here it will be possible to admire a jewel hidden in the basement of the building dating back to 1934, a mosaic still in perfect condition set in the original marble of the first covered pool in Italy.
