”… These little sentences, Professor Loïc Josseran, doctor - professor of public health at the University of Versailles St Quentin, has heard them a lot.
The idea that smoking cessation would become impossible or useless after a certain age is so anchored that it is sometimes even his colleagues who do not allow themselves to talk about it to certain patients.
However, Professor Josseran, who will be at the Seniors' Show next week to defend his convictions, assures him: "
the main difficulty in weaning seniors is none other than the mountain that we make of it, that whether as a doctor or as a smoker.
Their success rate is, however, comparable to that of younger smokers.
