The Supreme Planning Commission today approved the construction of 3,500 homes in the colony city of Maaleh Adumim (between Jerusalem and Jericho), in the village of Keidar and in Efrat, near Bethlehem.
These projects - reported military radio - were announced about a week ago, following a Palestinian attack near Maaleh Adumim in which two Israelis were killed.
''In the last year - Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wrote on X - we have authorized 18,515 homes'' in the West Bank.
''Our enemies want to weaken us, and we continue to build and strengthen ourselves''.
