On March 7, 2021, all eyes, especially those at Buckingham Palace, are on Montecito, California.

That day, Meghan Markle spoke on American television alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

She exclusively grants Oprah Winfrey her very first interview since leaving England - renamed “Megxit”.

During the two hours of this interview recorded two weeks in advance, the revelations do not disappoint: the secret marriage to Harry, Meghan's suicidal thoughts, the royal family's concerns about the skin color of their unborn child, the refusal of Buckingham Palace to provide him with protection… Everything is discussed.

Meghan Markle takes the opportunity at the same time to tackle her so wise and adored sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

“She made me cry,” she says.

“A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something about the bridesmaids' dresses, and it made me cry.

It really shocked me,” recalls the former actress.

Kate Middleton, upset to the point of hitting someone?

The hypothesis even seems unthinkable as William's wife has made no waves, no missteps since her arrival in what we call "the Firm", aka the royal family of England.

“Everyone knew the truth”

In her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle doesn't stop there.

She says she is hurt that the British press claimed that it was she who made Kate Middleton cry, that famous day before the wedding.

“It was difficult for me to be blamed, especially for something I didn't do, but happened to me.

knew the truth,” she still assures.

And added that she would have hoped that Kate Middleton would publicly correct the misunderstanding – which was not done.

That being said, Harry's wife also wants to emphasize to Oprah Winfrey that her sister-in-law is a “good person”.

The latter even, she said, sent her flowers and a kind word of apology after the “misdeed”.

Three years have passed since this much-discussed episode in the British press.

Scores are still being settled between the Sussexes and the Windsors.

Kate Middleton survived this media slap.

And could see his aura grow in light of the recent ordeal of his hospitalization.
