Our previous comment function is getting old - time for modernization.
We would like to focus even more on your opinion and open up constructive discussions.
A lookout from Community Manager Stefan Stukenbrok.
Dear readers,
dialogue is not a one-way street or a dead end.
For us, the exchange of opinions between readers and with the editorial teams has always been an important concern.
Solutions, ideas and suggestions for the challenges of our time arise through working together;
Controversial, different – and yes, sometimes uncomfortable views must be expressed.
This is democracy in action.
More objectivity, more reason = more constructive discussions
Not everyone likes this - with hate slogans, insults and destructive statements, a few readers try to disrupt the dialogue and divide the community.
We can counteract this even more
with the
new comment system, which we will soon make available to you .
So that the moderate voices of reason are the loudest.
Exciting innovations step by step for more interactivity and overview
It is important for us at this point to inform you in good time about the change in the comment system, which is why I am contacting you now.
Not everything will be completely different: As usual, the comment columns will be located below each article; you can write down your thoughts and reply to other users as before.
We will gradually roll out some of the new features in the comment area that we have linked to our USER.ID log-in.
This way you can initially “settle in” to the new virtual community.
Right from the start, however, selected top comments are highlighted and placed particularly prominently.
This will give you a quick, high-quality overview of the opinions expressed so far.
Cut off old habits: say goodbye to Disqus, re-register with USER.ID
Saying goodbye to the previous Disqus comment system requires a
new registration with our USER.ID log-in
; the old Disqus account can then no longer be used for the comment areas.
Would you like to get started straight away?
Then
register
with us now and secure your free USER.ID access.
As soon as the new comment area is active, you can then comment immediately.
You can also easily manage your (also free) newsletter subscriptions and your article history using USER.ID access.
Would you like to secure your current Disqus username in advance?
Then please contact me directly by email after successful USER.ID registration.
We store your name in our system.
When the new comment function is launched, the user name will appear directly in your account area.
If you have any further questions about the registration process or the new comment area, please feel free to contact me at any time at: stefan.stukenbrok@redaktion.ippen.media.
