The second bus stoppage in two months once again left

thousands of users without transportation

.

The typical transshipment centers woke up almost empty.

It was very noticeable in Constitución, which concentrates a large number of lines.

And the return home this afternoon is expected to be complicated.

Unlike a normal day, the stops were deserted.

In the several meters of docks there were few lines of people waiting for the lines that were operating this morning and who did not adhere to the measure, which started at midnight on Thursday and

would extend until midnight this Thursday

.

The opposite effect of the force measure was the crowding of passengers on the lines that work.

When looking for other options and routes, many people took alternative buses and that caused delays.

There was also

a lot of discomfort

when traveling.

"I have to go to Palermo. I come from Quilmes. Getting to Constitución was a hassle. Now I have to travel tight because the buses I take don't work. It's a disaster," Quique expresses angrily.

The strike forced people to

change routes

, which extended travel time.

In some cases, half an hour.

In others, double.

Micaela comes from La Plata.

Every day you take the 129 until you reach Retiro.

Last night he found out about the strike and had to find an alternative to travel.

"I took the train to Constitución and now I'm still on 45," she says.

It always takes just over an hour to complete the route.

This time, it will take more than two hours.

"I had to get up much earlier to get to work on time," she says.

The passenger of this nightmare knows that the discomfort does not end there.

"When I come back it's also

going to be hell

. I've already made myself aware that I'm going to travel badly, tight and that it's going to take more than two hours to get home," she adds.

Priscilla had no choice but to

walk

.

She lives in Hudson and also works in the Retiro area.

Every day she takes the train to get to Constitución.

But the station is 30 blocks from her house and she takes the bus every day to go there.

"Today I had to walk those thirty blocks because I didn't cross the line I always take," she says.

She thus added 40 minutes to her daily commute.

"At least I did some gymnastics," she adds ironically as she waits for the 45th.

The bicycle is another option

in the absence of bonds.

Gladis usually goes to work at 113. "I knew there was no service today. And the options I have for traveling are not good, because they take a long time. So I preferred to go by bike, which is a little faster. It's tiring, that Yes," he says, knowing that another long ride awaits him when he returns home.

The forceful measure was decided by the drivers of the UTA (Automotive Tram Union) who did not receive the salary increase and the non-remunerative bonus that they had agreed with the companies.

At its beginning, it affected at least 36 lines that circulate in the metropolitan area, according to union and business sources.

But as the day went by, others were added.

Only some lines are still working.

On February 20, the companies had to pay a bonus of $140,000 to the drivers of the Automotive Tram Union (UTA), but due to a clause in the joint agreement, that bonus was rescheduled to be paid together with the February salary.

The deadline was this Wednesday

, the fourth business day of the month.

Not receiving salaries or bonuses, the drivers decided to go on strike.

The "retention of tasks" will be carried out "in companies that have not paid salaries, as a measure of self-protection of the represented workers," the UTA indicated in a statement.
