Russia is increasingly a strategic commercial partner of China, part of a relationship praised today by Foreign Minister Wang Yi: trade between January and February rose by 9.3%, to 37 billion dollars, while Beijing's exports to Moscow grew by 12.5%.
Overall, however, Russia slipped by a whisker in the first part of the year to sixth position among the Dragon's main partners, overtaken by Australia: in 2023, according to Chinese Customs, it was in fifth position, rising rapidly from ninth in 2020 , for an exchange of 240 billion above the target of 200 billion.
