Here's how to make the classic cake that grandma loved to bake:

For a fruity mandarin sour cream cake you need these ingredients:
Shortcrust:
200g flour
1 packet of vanilla sugar
80g sugar
1 pinch of salt
0.5 tsp baking powder
1 egg
120 g butter, soft
Topping:
500 ml milk
150g sugar
2 packets of vanilla sugar
2 packets of vanilla pudding powder
600 g sour cream
500 g tangerines (canned), drained

Step by step, it's easy to prepare according to grandma's recipe:
For the shortcrust pastry:
Mix the flour, vanilla sugar, sugar, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
Add egg and butter and knead everything into a smooth dough.
Wrap the dough in foil and chill for about 30 minutes.
For the topping:
Mix the vanilla pudding powder with a little milk until smooth.
Bring the remaining milk, sugar and vanilla sugar to the boil in a saucepan.
Add vanilla pudding powder and cook for a minute while stirring.
Remove the pudding from the heat and let it cool slightly.
Stir in the sour cream.
Fold the drained tangerines into the cream.
Preheat oven to 160 °C fan oven.
Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface and place it in a greased springform pan (26 centimeters in diameter).
Pull the edge up a little.
Pour the prepared topping onto the dough and smooth it out.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes until light brown.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely in the tin.
Cut into pieces and enjoy!
Simple Tasty Tip:
It's better not to confuse this cake with its twin, the "Lazy Wife Cake", because it uses fewer tangerines but a large amount of quark.
Both are delicious.
