"President Putin, I ask you to take a photo together to demonstrate to Italy that you are human like everyone else and the propaganda about you is not true": the Italian street artist Jorit, born Ciro Cerullo, said this yesterday evening during a forum of youth in Sochi addressing the Russian president.
“When I painted a mural in Naples depicting Dostoevsky, the mainstream Italian media attacked me. There is a lot of pressure on artists and exponents of Italian culture who try to say that the Russian people are not as the propaganda portrays them,” Jorit said.
