This was confirmed by the Aepi Association, on the occasion of the announcement of the six finalists of the competition dedicated to the best wine sellers in Italy, four of whom are under 30 years old.

"One third of the members of the Italian professional wine merchants' association are under 40 and almost all the new members are young", says the new president Filippo Gastaldi, born in 1983, at the helm of the Enoteca Un Mondo di Vino in Orzinuovi (Bs), already Best Sommelier in Lombardy with a degree in Oenology and one in International Economics.

"Our objective - Gastaldi further specifies - is to make the association grow, also through the competition, promoting the membership of new members".


    The six competitors, Daniele Liurni, (Rome), Diletta Landozzi (Siena), Mattia Manganaro (Brescia), for the Bottles category and Silvia Angelozzi (Teramo), Lorenzo Longhi (Milan) and Nicola Prestini (Brescia) for the Enoteca con Mescita category , they will have time to prepare for the final scheduled in Rome on November 11th.

In the meantime, they will participate in the training course, scheduled from 17 to 21 March, organized by the Enoteca del Barolo to raise awareness of Piedmontese PDO products.

the competition, under the patronage of Masaf, is organized in collaboration with Vinarius Associazione Enoteche Italiane with the support of various Protection Consortia.
