Sixty-five dancers will accompany Ryan Gosling during the performance of I'm justKen.
Each of the best actors will be announced by the winners of the last edition and by four other past winners.
These are the main previews of the 96th night of the Oscars, reported in a press conference by the executive producers RajKapoor, Katy Mullan and Molly McNearney.
The live television broadcast on Sunday 10 March will last three and a half hours and will be broadcast in the United States by ABC.
The parade of stars on the red carpet will take up only half an hour and the ceremony inside the Dolby cinema will begin at 4pm, an hour earlier than in past editions.
In Italy, the Rai 1 broadcast starts at 11.30pm.
ABC is confident that the public will be attracted by the popularity of the contenders for best film, in particular the two blockbusters Barbie and Oppenheimer, which together have 21 nominations.
"These are films that people have seen; they know what we're about and they're interested in it. It's easier to connect with the audience at home right from the opening monologue," McNearney said.
"We focus a lot on musical performances," explained Kapoor, confirming that the five nominated songs will be performed by the original artists.
There is great anticipation for the hymn to the fragile male ego I'm Just Ken, one of the two songs competing for the film Barbie (the other is What was I made for? for which Billie Eilish has already won two Grammys).
Gosling will sing the song live for the first time and perform with 65 male dancers, in one of the most challenging performances ever performed at the Oscars.
Composer Scott George and musicians from the Osage tribe will perform the song Wahzhazhe from Martin Scorsese's Killers Of The Flower Moon, on a night that could see her star Lily Gladstone become the first Native American to win a statuette.
"Bringing together 20 Oscar-winning actors in the past was a great job: it's our way of celebrating the history of cinema and giving a gift to the winners, who will meet again with some of their favourites", said Kapoor again, recalling that it was only done in 2010.
