It is night, this January evening, when Francesca decides to go to her hotel, in the heart of Paris.
It’s not because of the freezing temperatures that this 30-year-old from Nice is hurrying her pace: “A man was following me,” she rewinds.
Loud, then aggressive, the man asks for her number, calls her out.
“I said I wasn’t interested.”
But the attacker gets angry, insults her and decides to follow her into the streets, “threatening”.
The thirty-year-old becomes frightened, looks for a place to take refuge and finally, rushes into… a tobacconist.
“The manager immediately reassured me, asked me how he could help me, offered to stay here as long as I wanted,” says Francesca, who was able, after the boss himself to even assured that the street was safe, return to the hotel.
