"Matekot" episode 5: Ziv Reinstein, Prof. Yaniv Furia and Karin Arad on sex and vacations/Walla!
tourism
sex and holidays
It seems that when we pack ideas for "what our vacation will look like" in our suitcase, sex is one of the first items that will be there.
Why, then, do we associate vacation directly with intercourse?
Why is it easier for gays to "get" a sex partner/s than for straights?
And how did sex with a local become part of our authentic experience in the world, just like eating the local food?
We dealt with these and many other questions in the fifth episode of "Matkat" - the Walla Tourism flood, which is also broadcast on the Walla+ channel, in which Prof. Yaniv Furia from the Department of Tourism and Leisure at Ben Gurion University, and I hosted Karin Arad, editor of our Shee section, who shed some light on the subject (and us We needed some feminine, smart and refreshing perspective in our testosterone-laden videocast).

Having sex with a local on vacation - part of our authentic experience abroad/ShutterStock
"When you go to a B&B, write down in the script exactly what you do in the evening"
"When we are in a tourist experience, then most of the scenarios we live in the light of the home environment - what to eat, what to drink, how to dress, how to have sex - change," says Prof. Furia.
"We are allowed to dare, we are allowed to change, we are allowed to dress up as someone we are not... and there are some 'musts' - things we must do. When you go to a B&B, write down in the script exactly what you do in the evening."
But what makes us bolder abroad when it comes to sex? Going to clubs, hooking someone up? "The fact that we don't know people there.
Anonymity," says Karin, while Poriya added, "What happens in Eilat - stays in Eilat, what happens in Vegas - stays in Vegas, these are the tourism laws, and it's known and accepted, which allows you to do things other than the usual."
More episodes in "Matekas":

This is what awaits us in 2024
Chapter 3: The Israeli tourist abroad: this is our most disgusting and most beautiful behavior
Chapter 4: The new demand in the hotel: a high floor, a double bed and no evacuees
and what is the difference between male sex tourism, in Thailand or Jamaica , who go looking for sex - something that is looked down upon - and among women who are looking for sex, but for them it is considered okay? Romantic, because instead of paying, she gives gifts."
And we talked about a variety of other topics related to sex and our vacations - all in the new flood of "Matekas".
Pleasant listening/viewing.
