  • 60 g wheat semolina

  • 225 g apricots in a can (alternatively: apricots)

  • Nut crumbs:

  • 80g butter

  • 100g breadcrumbs

  • 60 g hazelnuts, grated

  • powdered sugar

Step by step to the perfect apricot dumplings thanks to these preparation instructions:

  • For the apricot dumplings:

    Mix butter, egg, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, quark, flour and wheat semolina into a dough in a bowl and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.

  • Divide the dough into golf ball-sized pieces and flatten each piece in the floured palm.

    Place half an apricot in the middle, sprinkle with sugar and cover with the second apricot half.

    Then shape the dough around the apricot and form dumplings.

  • Bring salted water to the boil in a pot, add the apricot dumplings to the water and let them simmer for about ten minutes.

  • For the nut crumbs:

    Melt butter in a pan.

    Fry the breadcrumbs, hazelnuts and powdered sugar for three minutes until golden brown.

    Then roll the drained dumplings in the nut crumb mixture.

    Sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste and enjoy!
