To celebrate
Soft Spot
, his latest album, artist JMSN - real name Christian Berishaj - is organizing a European tour, the first in five years.
The
Soft Spot European Tour
began Thursday March 7 at La Condition Publique in Lille.
The American will also be at the Cabaret Sauvage in Paris this Friday March 8 and will make a detour to Le Molotov in Marseille before giving around ten other shows, in Italy, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and in England.
He has come a long way since his first record, entitled
Priscilla
, released in 2012. Already at the time,
The Guardian
compared his talent and grit to that of singer The Weeknd, one of whose titles has just exceeded the bar 4 billion listens on Spotify.
A year later,
Pllaje
, his second album, offered JMSN recognition from the music industry and his peers, allowing him to work with big names in music.
In the years that followed, Christian Berishaj collaborated notably with J.Cole on the album
Jesus Piece
, Mac Miller on
The Divine Feminine
and Kendrick Lamar on
Good Kid, MAAD City.

In total, since 2012, the artist has released eight projects under the White Room Records label, which he founded alone.
His talents as a singer and musician have allowed him to rise to the top of the American charts on several occasions.
His records
JMSN - Blue Album
, released in 2014, and
It Is
, released in 2016, reached number 18 and 20, respectively,
on
the Billboard Heatseekers.
In the United States, he is considered
"one of the architects of the hip-hop scene"
.
In
Soft Spot
, his latest album, released last October, JMNS mixes R'n'B and alternative soul.
The project is supported by four clips illustrating his art.
In this disc composed of nine tracks, the singer shares his vision of the world, hoping to create
“a shock wave”
among the public.
But the main objective of the project is simple: to offer fans and everyone who listens to it the feeling of being free, of being able to do what they want.
And this,
“even if it goes against what others think
,” says the singer.
I've felt the joy of doing this before, and there's no better moment.
So, now my album belongs to you.
