An email address launched to measure the extent of the scourge.

The government "will create a call for testimonies" as part of the "mission on sexist and sexual violence", announced last week, Aurore Bergé said on Franceinfo this Friday, on the occasion of International Women's Rights Day. women.

The objective: to allow the executive to take the best possible measure of the situation and obtain a “revelation of what is happening”, with a view to “building effective public policies”, argued the delegate minister responsible for of Equality between women and men.

A system launched following the example of Ciivise, the Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence Against Children, which made it possible to collect “thousands and thousands of testimonies”.

“This is how we became aware of the extent of the phenomena and mechanisms at work,” argued Aurore Bergé.

In the same way, the mission of his ministry will seek to identify “the counter-powers and the regulations that must be put in place” in the field of sexist and sexual violence.

“Impose clear rules”

Concretely, “all those who want to testify” about sexist and sexual violence can write to an address created for the occasion: temoignages-efh@pm.gouv.fr.

It is possible to send a message "completely anonymous and confidential", explained the minister, assuring that the emails received "will not be revealed, unless those who testify want to do so".

These testimonies will be read “by me in particular, by civil servants who work and who accompany us on this mission”, in particular magistrates and lawyers, she underlined.

The ministry's mission will extend over three months: “The idea is to go quickly and be very efficient,” launched Aurore Bergé.

Evoking the scourge of violence in many sectors, notably sport and cinema, she stated the objective of “imposing clear rules in all these organizations” to fight against this violence.

The goal is “to understand the mechanisms at work, to change the rules in all places where hierarchical domination is exercised, where a relationship of authority exists”, Aurore Bergé had already presented last week in the columns of the Parisian.

However, additional budgetary resources are not envisaged for the time being.

The Ministry responsible for Equality between women and men must also make savings of seven million euros, but “not a single euro will be taken on the question of the fight against violence against women, on family planning” , she assured.

“Discussions” are underway with the Ministry of the Economy on how these budget cuts will be arbitrated, she added, while the executive wants to achieve 20 billion euros in savings by 2025.
