Pope Francis has nominated, among the various members of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind, Demis Hassabis, child prodigy as a chess player, entrepreneur and founder, in 2010, with Shane Legg and Mustafa Suleyman, of DeepMind.
DeepMind is a company that aims to fuse insights from neuroscience and machine learning with new developments in computing hardware to unlock increasingly powerful general-purpose learning algorithms that will work toward creating artificial intelligence.
