Spotify's commitment to promoting gender equality in music is realized primarily through Equal, the global program launched in 2020 aimed at amplifying the voices of women musicians and creators, both locally and internationally.

The program, over the years, has achieved notable results: 4,700 playlists that include Equal ambassadors and 144 million total listens to Equal playlists on the platform.

But not only that, the artists, after only the first month on the program, reached 819 million total combined listens.

This year, on the symbolic day dedicated to the rights of all women, Spotify has chosen the rapper BigMama as its ambassador for the second time, after the important messages that the artist conveyed at the Sanremo Festival and her constant commitment to diversity and inclusion.

In addition to the cover of the Equal Italia playlist, the Avellino artist also contributed to curating the music selection, together with Spotify.
