The employees of the Argentine news agency Telam, responding to the forced suspension of their activity decided by the Milei government (in view of a possible definitive closure), have opened an alternative news portal to the darkened one.
The online one (https://somostelam.com.ar/), a simplified version of the official one, is presented by journalists as a resistance initiative, and "as a minimal example of what we can do".
Titles and photographs on the front page of the portal are dedicated to International Women's Day and, obviously, to the conflict concerning the agency, with the solidarity of the Nobel Peace Prize winner, Adolfo Pérez Esquivel.
Since March 1, the agency's headquarters, in Calle Bolívar in Buenos Aires, has had its entrance sealed, with metal barriers set up by the police blocking access.

In this regard, in recent days national deputies and senators from various political parties have already presented several legislative projects to guarantee the continuity of the agency's activity.
