The US Embassy in Russia has issued an alert on its website advising American citizens to avoid large gatherings in Moscow over the next 48 hours due to possible terrorist attacks.
"The embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, including concerts, and US citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours," reads the message also reported by the British Foreign Office on own site.
