The work that the government is carrying out in agreement with the Italian Regions continues: after yesterday's signing in Friuli Venezia Giulia between the Presidency of the Council and the Region, today the signing of a new agreement with Umbria signed by the President of Council Giorgia Meloni and the President of the Region Donatella Tesei.

This is the twelfth agreement defined.

"The resources allocated amount to 238.2 million euros (of which 27.7 million had already been assigned as an advance in 2021). Also in this case an important figure, which will serve to finance a total of 36 projects and strategic lines of action for the Umbrian territory, activating investments for a total value of 287.8 million euros", explains the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the Pnrr Raffaele Fitto who coordinates the work of the central and peripheral administrations.

"These are important projects that respond to the broader regional development strategy which, consistently with the nature of the Development and Cohesion Fund as a fund for strategic investments with a particular infrastructural vocation, intended to select interventions that particularly concern the areas of redevelopment of territorial assets, the strengthening of transport, energy efficiency, the relaunch of an important industrial site, and which also includes the redevelopment of the center of Bastia Umbria Fiere where the signing of the agreement took place", he continued.

"A further step forward on a journey that will touch the whole of Italy, all the Regions and autonomous Provinces, from North to South, and which is now halfway through its journey, confirming that the comparison and sharing of projects with the interested administrations is the best way to overcome the great challenge of modernization and trigger structural growth in our country, optimizing the use of resources and ensuring that not a euro is wasted", concludes the minister.
