(ANSA) - TEHRAN, MARCH 09 - Two young women were arrested in Tehran after a video on social media showed them dancing in the street for Women's Day and to celebrate the Iranian New Year, which will begin on March 20, in Tajrish square, in the north of the capital.
The two girls dressed up as Haji Firouz, a traditional character who wears red clothes, sings and dances in the streets every year in the days before New Year to celebrate the occasion.
They were accused of "behavior contrary to social norms".
