STORY - As the 3rd edition of the La Maestra conducting competition opens this week, female chefs seem to have become essential on international stages.


Fourteen: this is the number of female conductors who will compete for the title of “Maestra” during the 3rd edition of the eponymous competition, organized by the Philharmonie de Paris and the Paris Mozart Orchestra.

Aged 19 to 42, of twelve nationalities, they were chosen from 197 candidates from 47 countries…
