Thousands of delegates from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) have indicated the president, Nicolas Maduro, as their candidate in the July 28 elections.
According to the PSUV, the designation emerges from over 15,800 assemblies held across the country.
"I congratulate the PSUV and the people on the field, who have carried forward their assemblies and their proposals. We are all united in a constant and safe march towards July 28.
We will win!", commented Maduro from his X account.
