Lunch Box, Pop & Pop Restaurant/Pop & Pop Restaurant

The sculpture and painting gallery outside the Pop & Pop restaurant divides the world at midnight into those who have and those who have a little less.

Time, of course.

The long couches wrap around the space on the 14th floor from almost all sides, seating those waiting to be picked up and those waiting to enter for a moment, and hosting them with Mickey Mouse dripping with black paint, for example, with a powerful but smiling hug of Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop and also with a huge, purple statue Deep and offensively neon, of Arnav.

The rabbit from Donnie Darko, if I understand correctly.

For all the "Eaters on the Go" columns,

this hall might feel different after the sun goes down.

It may also be better to "talk" to him when the head is not completely clear, or when the body does not have to sit back down at work in half an hour, but this burst of colors, in all its shades, is clearly pop and pop.

There are worse places to wait for lunch takeaway.

Most of them, actually.

Outside the box, inside the box.

The lunch boxes can be ordered and collected, at prices that used to be called funny, and today they are still funny, but with a hint of nerves about how much you are charged in other places

The restaurant's relatively new lunch deal is not *on the spot*, but completely *in addition*, and was created to cater to an audience that cannot now sit down to a prolonged and continuous and pampering business inside, and yet wants something hot, and good, and of a Saturn seagull.

Can you blame him?

That something is a "lunch box" menu.

As the name suggests - lunch boxes that can be ordered and collected, at prices that used to be called funny, and today they are still funny, but with a hint of nerves about how much they charge you in other places.

In almost all of them, in fact.

The menu is small, tight and honed to a welcome sharpness - almost the opposite of the deliberately exaggerated colorful spirit of the parent restaurant.

There are six closed options here, each one a box in itself, with its proteins and toppings and sauces and all its flavor additives, and with a side salad and a thick slice of Spek Spek bread, there is Spek Brioche.

All options are correct, soft and warm.

There is Pepper Chicken (chicken pieces sautéed in sake pepper, potatoes and rice, NIS 58), "Tai Adom" (grilled chicken, coconut, dates, potatoes, basil, eggplant and rice, NIS 58), "Taiwan Schnitzel" ( Schnitzel chicken, arais powder, coleslaw, pepper, radish, NIS 58), "Chantbon asado" (long-cooked shredded beef, 13 spices, tomatoes, cilantro, coconut and rice, NIS 64), salmon dashi leek (salmon chunks in a stone oven, leek, potatoes, mint and rice, NIS 68) and "Daline Noodles" (fillet pieces, yakitori, ginger, chili, Shimaji noodles, NIS 68).

Colorful gift.

If the elevators were slower, it is likely that you would put restraint and civilization aside and start your lunch on the way down.

If the tower lobby encouraged impromptu picnics, it would likely take place on the ground floor

The boxes, in a relatively deep rectangular shape, are optimally constructed for quick collection and opening.

If the elevators were slower, it is likely that you would put restraint and civilization aside and start your lunch on the way down.

If the tower lobby encouraged impromptu picnics, it would likely take place on the ground floor.

Instead, just go out into the sun, cross the small road and go to the cute Givon square (or go back to the office and eat on the keyboard, as we all hate to do and we all still do at least three times a week for some reason).

Apart from logistics, the boxes are logically and intelligently organized also in terms of food.

Everything inside, next to each other, begins to mix with the collection, but not in a mess, on the contrary - as it should, as directed by the poet Q.

Saturn.

The second box, the one with the salad, waits crisp and fresh for the sauce that comes on the side and adds to the green leaves and crackers a sour but balanced kick, moderately thick and moderately light.

The bread (challah, sure challah) is waiting on the side with prior knowledge and based on the facts of life.

At first you don't understand why you need it.

By the end of the meal, he leaves behind only an empty brown paper bag, which will tell of his carbohydrate legacy.

as directed by the poet.

One box will set you up well for lunch, and also for those hours after lunch, those in which too many workers in the Israeli economy pass with regrets and questions like "why did I eat so much"

The food, in general and also in the most individual way, is excellent.

The flavors of Shabtai Fe, and the similarity to the dishes of Pop & Pop is of course distinct.

It's the same cuisine, come on, and therefore the same dishes.

It may be that the size is updated depending on the deal, but I doubt that there is a significant difference here, and in any case one box will set you up well for lunch, and also for those hours after lunch, those when too many workers in the Israeli economy spend with regrets and wondering "why did I eat so much" such

The pepper chicken is a slightly more elaborate stir-fried chicken dish, with medium-sized pieces and juicy in taste that received a sticky shower with a spice that made sure to stay below the really spicy threshold.

The potatoes and rice are also happy to participate in this party of liquids, and complete a lunch that flutters to the classics.

"Schnitzel Taiwan" plays in the same orchestra, and with the same intention.

A slice that is not too thin and not too thick, browned and properly coated, well seasoned, and with excellent rice that mixes too well with a fork in the fun coleslaw.

These two dishes, by the way, cost 88 shekels inside the restaurant (but also as part of a lunch deal that adds an entree at the same price) - thirty shekels more than the box, and in any case two fair options and somewhat rare in our places.

Small, tight and polished.

Some potatoes, more rice and vegetables, here and there green soybeans, and here is a lunch that everyone is happy to have, at a price that has not been the same here for years

"Chantbon Asado" was the third box that was opened, and it contained intense flavored meat, tender and decomposed as God intended it to be, and with an ideal spoon-building platform - sometimes with rice and green leaves, sometimes with green beans and thin radishes, sometimes just oily and warming asado.

Excellent.

Salmon dashi leek provided two thick cuts of fish that had heat stroke but managed to survive it successfully and remain vital and with a high energy level.

As God intended him to be.

It is almost incredible, and certainly unexpected, to refer to Pop & Pop as a restaurant that highlights prices and talks about value for money.

Her entrance ticket to our lives, as I remember, Armani Casa shouted and directed all pricing questions to the view from the balcony in the middle of the floor, and the local-global audience did the rest to build a slightly distant, perhaps even detached, image.

The years passed, however, and time slowly revealed how broken images and clichés written from afar no longer stand up to the real test - that of taste.

True, this is not a working class restaurant, and the 2,000 square meters of the complex still require a bit of extravagance, but all the beauty is wanting both, and knowing how to do it.

Because of all this, don't be blinded by the dazzle - 14 floors below there are "folk" traps and "authentic" eateries that will charge you a lot for less. You deserve a better deal. In a box.

Lunch box at the Pop & Pop restaurant, Monday-Thursday 11:00am-6:00pm, pick up from the 14th floor of the southern building at Migdali Harbea, 28 Harbea, Tel Aviv, 03-759-5000
