“It will be absolutely fantastic.”
Ecstatic, Russell Crowe, yesterday hero of
Gladiator
and
Master and Commander
, has just announced that he will tour Europe, accompanied by The Gentleman Barbers, his
“collective”
of artists, and singer Lorraine O'Reilly.
This tour called Indoor Garden Party will stop at four places steeped in recent or ancient history: at La Cigale in Paris (July 6), but also at the Colosseum in Rome, in Pompeii and at the Piazza del Popolo in Ascoli Piceno, a Renaissance square in the Marche region of Italy.

Russell Crowe, who has loved music for over 40 years, knows that this tour will mark a turning point in his career.
To People
magazine
, he admitted:
"These legendary places will, of course, be very different from the pubs I have played in so far with my band
. "
The internationally renowned actor is not embarking on this
“fantastic”
adventure blindly.
He takes his role as a musician-singer very seriously:
“I prepare like I am for a film.
Time for preparation and concentration is essential so that all the details of the show become completely natural.
I also have to say that the older I get, the more important it is to work on my voice.
It's an imposing program which will include around twenty songs..."
.
These intimate concerts, which today will be presented to a wider audience - we must think of the gigantic Roman Colosseum! - were born under the leadership of Russell in 2009 in a pub in the suburbs of London.
With his new group The Gentleman Barbers, the actor sings Gospel, R&B and country.
In addition to the excellent singer Lorraine O'Reilly, the actor's own son Charlie, 20, could make an appearance.
Crowe fans are already raving about it.
