At the end of rue du Calvaire, on the outskirts of Amiens (Somme), Jean-Marc is waiting for us on his steps.
Her long hair frames a big smile.
“It’s ironic to live in such an address, when my life has been difficult for a long time,” murmurs the 68-year-old man.
For decades, Jean-Marc said nothing about his atrocious memories.
For a long time, he could not remember that night of July 20, 1969, when a priest raped him during a scout camp.
“He asked me to sleep in his tent, claiming to want to take advantage of my waking up to get the troops up at 4 a.m. and watch the first steps of man on the Moon on TV,” he rewinds, while his blue eyes pierce you.
A trauma “buried” by his brain, which resurfaced in the 2010s, after hypnosis sessions, when he was depressed.
