- The Agea Agency has started the first payment of 165 million euros in favor of the 86,000 payment applications that have passed the checks, compared to the 96,000 support applications admitted.
This was announced in a note by the Agency for agricultural disbursements itself, specifying that the amount of the contribution is equal to 55% of the expenditure admitted following the Masaf financial integration decree in the public notice of 21 November 2023.
Agea respects the timetable, highlights the note, presented on the occasion of the 16th National Conference on risk management in agriculture held in Assisi last month.
From February to today, almost 150,000 support applications have been submitted to Agea for plant production in 2023.
This is only a first payment made possible for applications for which the corresponding contribution parameters had been approved.
As soon as the remaining contribution parameters are approved, a second processing of the applications not processed or newly submitted will be started.
Agea's objective is to complete the investigation and payment of all applications for the 2023 campaign by 2024, simplifying and speeding up the resolution of anomalies and, therefore, the closure of the related proceedings.
"Furthermore, by March 2024, the Agency will pay over 7 million euros for 8,014 applications for National Insurance for the years 2015-2022. This payment is the result of the anomaly resolution plan, defined in September 2023, the result of an impressive work of Agea and constant dialogue with all the institutional actors involved - Masaf and Ismea and the stakeholders - Defense Consortia, CAA and Insurance. The Anomaly Resolution Plan is one of the initiatives that Agea has implemented to accelerate the closure of procedures that are now dated" underlines Fabio Vitale, director of Agea.
