It was not at all similar to what I had known until that day - neither in color nor in taste.

I remember how the creamy white sauce with the cheeses and spinach mixed with the egg yolk - the taste was simply dreamy and I had to try and recreate it.



Over the years the recipe I created has become a staple in many of my friends' and family members' homes and now I am happy to share it with you.

Ingredients for the recipe

    • 50 grams of butter

    • 1 as a crushed onion

    • 250 grams of spinach (only the leaves, washed well)

    • ½ pack goat cheese sliced ​​into thin slices (such as Parmesan or goat cheese)

    • 200 grams of salty cheese crumbled into coarse crumbs

    • 2 slices of yellow cheese

    • 2 packets of sweet cream

    • Salt

    • black pepper

    • 8 eggs

    • Grated Parmesan (permission)

Preparation

How do you make a spinach and cheese shake?

    Melt the butter in a wide pan.

    After a few seconds, add the teaspoon of crushed garlic and immediately after the spinach leaves.

    Stir for a few minutes until the spinach loses its volume.

    Spread the goat and Bulgarian cheese slices evenly in the pan.

    Pour in the sweet cream, season with salt and pepper, mix lightly and bring to a gentle boil.

    Tear the slices of yellow cheese by hand and add to the mixture.

    Make holes in the dish with a spoon and slide in the eggs one by one, spaced apart.

    Season the eggs with a little salt and black pepper, transfer to a low heat and cook covered for about 10 minutes or until the desired level of doneness of the eggs.

    Before serving you can sprinkle a little parmesan.
