"It is an area that has become dangerous, in which the Houthis have gone from attacks on merchant ships to military ships. There is a continuous evolution in the methods of attacks. Even this night the attacks were conducted in a different way".
This was said by the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, speaking at the LetExpo2024 event.
"The military approach, which is needed to provide security, is not enough, but the topic that will be discussed in the coming weeks is that of supporting other systems, other interventions, other political and diplomatic negotiations to stop these attacks which then do not have an impact, as they would like in the Houthi declarations , on the war in Gaza, but only on the Italian or European economy", added Crosetto.
