The investigation started from a complaint filed by a woman, owner of a commercial business, which led to the arrest, under house arrest, for aggravated extortion of a state police officer on duty at the Terni police station by colleagues from the team mobile (and not by the police as we initially learned).
The measure was ordered by the investigating judge.
The work of the investigators continued for a few months, also with the help of wiretaps, after the woman had reported to the police that she had handed over large sums of money to the policeman over time, to avoid checks and sanctions.
With the latter allegedly threatening serious consequences, boasting of important knowledge within the police.
From what we have learned, the agent - operating in technical roles, in particular in the management of the police station's service vehicles - would have been the subject of various disciplinary proceedings over time and had often been absent from work for about a year.
The guarantee interrogation will be held on Thursday morning in front of judge Chiara Mastracchio.
