The Ivrea prosecutor's office (Turin) has closed the investigation into Omar Favaro for mistreatment of his ex-wife and daughter from 2019 to 2021. The objections are in the opinion that for Favaro, one of the two perpetrators of the double murder in Novi Ligure, which occurred in 2001, when she was a minor, could now lead to the request for indictment, therefore to the trial, for about twenty episodes ranging from repeated death threats, to disfigure the ex's face with acid, or to reduce her to a wheelchair, to physical and psychological beatings and violence.
The newspaper la Repubblica reports it, recalling how Favaro has always rejected the accusations.
Last summer the Turin review court rejected the request for restrictive measures against the man and Favaro had defined the accusations made against him by his ex-wife as "slanderous".
His defender, the lawyer Lorenzo Repetti, had underlined that the matter is part of a separation case where, among other things, custody of the daughter is undisputed.
