planned a terrorist action to be carried out in the Israeli settlement of Avnei Hefetz, in the West Bank using a car bomb

.

This is what we read in the order issued by the district investigating judge of L'Aquila.

The planning emerges from conversations intercepted by the police who carried out the investigations.

"This is a suicidal unit, ready to act in depth

and our action will be immediate", can be heard in a WhatsApp conversation between Yaeesh and Munir Almagdah, military leader of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades on January 9, 2024.

 An extradition procedure is underway against one of those arrested, at the request of the authorities of the State of Israel, before the Court of Appeal of L'Aquila.

In the order signed by investigating judge Marco Billi we read that the three arrested, former members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades rooted in Israeli-Palestinian territory and in the West Bank, had established and financed a military operational structure called 'Rapid Response Group - Tulkarem Brigades ', a branch of the Martyrs of Al-Aqsa which also operated from L'Aquila, where the three lived.

From the wiretaps it seems that Yaeesh - arrested on January 29th following an extradition request made by the Israeli authorities and detained in the Terni prison - was the leader of the group.

In addition to agreeing on the objectives and operational methods of the attacks, the Palestinians also defined the details relating to the claims, also through the preparation of videos and press releases.

The propaganda videos featured armed militiamen engaged in military training and the use of weapons on young recruits and children.

Regarding the attack in the West Bank, in a conversation between Yaeesh and another Palestinian, it is planned that the action should be filmed using cameras installed on sniper rifles and berets: "...Like last time however, this time in Avnei there are many people...", "...I had it in my head to play a joke on them regarding what is happening in Jerusalem, with the shame we suffered in the camp...";

and again: "Prepare something strong for Avnei...", "...Maybe, or a car on the road like Hamzi...";

and again: "...okay, I'll send you the price for the love package and you have to get it for me tomorrow as soon as the money arrives...";

"…next week you will receive cameras to install on your rifle and caps, plus protective vests…";

"…They will arrive next week, so every fight, every blow is filmed…".
