No extradition to Israel for Anan Yaeesh, the 37 year old Palestinian currently in prison in Terni on charges of terrorism.
The Court of Appeal of L'Aquila decided this due to the risk that the man "if extradited to the state of Israel could be subjected to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, or in any case to acts which constitute a violation of human rights".
Furthermore, for the judges "the conditions for a sentence in favor of extradition do not exist" as the prisoner "is subjected to criminal proceedings for the same facts which are the subject of the extradition request as part of a proceeding promoted by the L'Aquila Prosecutor's Office".
