Approximately 8,300 applications were submitted by companies, and duly registered on the Invitalia platform, in the first 8 hours of opening of the 'Fund for the support of excellence in Italian gastronomy and agri-food'.
In more detail, there are around 8,000 applications for the purchase of machinery and capital goods and around 300 for the hiring of young graduates in food and wine and hotel hospitality services.
The measure, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry and managed by Invitalia, is aimed at companies in the catering, pastry and ice cream sectors, with the aim of enhancing the Italian agri-food and food and wine heritage.
The overall budget is 76 million euros: 56 million euros for the purchase of machinery and capital goods and 20 million euros for the hiring of young graduates.
