A quick recipe for the Easter table
Well, were you also confused when you saw this delicious recipe picture?
We admit that we are a little proud of the look of our fried egg cookies.
Nevertheless, of course we didn't sprinkle sugar over normal fried eggs, but instead baked delicious cookies.
Crispy shortcrust pastry base, cream cheese cream for the egg whites and sweet peaches for the yolks.
Really tasty!
That's how it's done:
You need these ingredients for deceptively real fried egg cookies:
Cookie base:
250 g flour
200g powdered sugar
150 g butter, soft
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1 tsp salt
Cream cheese cream:
250 g cream cheese, room temperature
100g honey
3 tsp sugar
Topping:
1 can of pickled peaches
And they are prepared so quickly:
Preheat oven to 180°C.
For the cookie base:
Knead the flour, powdered sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder and salt in a bowl to form a homogeneous dough.
Form 6 balls out of the dough.
Place each dough ball on a baking tray lined with baking paper and flatten so that they take the shape of a fried egg.
Bake for 20 minutes until the edges are light brown.
Remove and let cool completely.
For the cream cheese cream:
In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, honey and sugar using a hand mixer.
Spread the cookie bases with cream cheese cream (egg white) so that the cookies are completely covered with cream.
Top each cookie with a peach half (as an egg yolk).
Enjoy!
