The management of franceinfo decided on Thursday “to suspend as a precautionary measure” its political journalist and editorialist Jean-François Achilli, who would have collaborated in the writing of the upcoming autobiography of Jordan Bardella, according to an article in Le Monde published this Thursday.
“The management of franceinfo received Jean-François Achilli this morning following the article published by Le Monde yesterday (Wednesday) evening,” the radio said on Thursday.
“This effective antenna deprivation “from this day” must last “while the situation is clarified”.
Difficulties finding a publisher
For some time, the president of the National Rally has been working on writing an autobiographical book, the publication date of which is not yet known.
A task in which he is helped by journalist Jean-François Achilli, met on television sets when Bardella was spokesperson for the RN, between 2017 and 2019.
Faced with the difficulties encountered in finding a publishing house, Jordan Bardella would then have turned to Achilli for a collaboration with a view to a “common work”.
The latter refuses at first, but finally agrees to discuss with the president of the far-right party so that a draft text sees the light of day, without however an editor being appointed.

The political journalist defended himself in the columns of the same newspaper.
“I did not sign a writing contract for Jordan Bardella’s book.
But all this concerns my personal professional life,” he responds to our colleagues.
Still, the management of Franceinfo preferred to suspend him from the air, the time to clarify the matter.
According to the article in Le Monde, another person collaborating with Franceinfo would be “involved” in the design of the work.
This would be the vice-president of the University of Paris-II Panthéon-Assas, the historian Fabrice d'Almeida, former director of the Institute of History of Present Time and today "history consultant" for the media of public service.
He did not wish to comment on the information.
