The United States has held secret talks with Iran to urge an end to the Houthin attacks in the Red Sea.
The Financial Times reports it, citing American and Iranian officials.
According to the FT, Washington is trying to convince Tehran to use its influence on Yemen's Houthis to put an end to attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
The negotiations, during which Washington also expressed concern about Iran's expanding nuclear program, took place in Oman in January and were the first between the two powers in 10 months.
