Gabriele Marchesi, the co-suspect of Ilaria Salis and under house arrest in Italy, must be handed over and must remain in prison in Hungary.
This is the meaning of the response sent by the Budapest Prosecutor's Office to the Milan Court of Appeal which had asked the Hungarian authorities to verify the possibility of alternative "tools" to the European arrest warrant, such as house arrest in Italy, suspending surrender.
Only with "his surrender and arrest", writes the Hungarian Prosecutor's Office, "would it be possible to guarantee" that Marchesi "is available to the authorities" and is present in particular "in the procedural acts"
