"From the European Court of Justice I only received the summary communication that the emergency procedure was not approved, but I don't know the reason. I think it probable that the judges considered that the urgency did not exist because the recipients of the provision are free".
This was stated by the lawyer Rosa Emanuela Lo Faro who represents the migrants at the center of the decision.
"The ball has been put back in the center - he adds - and I believe the decision also impacts the protocol signed between Italy and Albania which provides for the application of accelerated border procedures, including the 5,000 euro deposit".
