A 21-year-old girl, NegarKarimian, was seriously injured and later died in hospital after Iranian police forces opened fire on the car in which she was returning with her family from an uncle's funeral in Aligudarz district, Lorestan province , in the west of Iran.
This was reported by the Hengaw human rights organization and Iraninternational.
According to a source close to the family, the girl was returning to Isfahan when the police shot at the car without warning.
The source added that Negar was taken to hospital and died three hours later from her injuries.
