"The risks, including international ones, have grown again: there are new symptoms of credit deterioration which require further prudential provisions for the prospective strengthening of the banks' capital solidity, a prerequisite for a solid economy".
This was stated by the president of the Abi Antonio Patuelli in the Lectio Magistralis "Ethics, economics and banking prospects in Italy" at the Brescia branch of the Catholic University according to which "the banks have no positional income and have come from very difficult years which they have faced and are facing with large increases in capital, provisions and restructuring".
