Green, green, green...
Everything is green on
Saint Patrick's Day
.
People walk through the streets,
green-colored rivers
flow past them and a man drinks a green beer in the pub.
In the café next door, a father wipes the
green cream
from the child's face and on the way to the parade, a woman throws her green scarf over her shoulder.
And as far as the eye can see, clover leaves cross your gaze.
You look through the masses of people who are all
dancing
,
drinking
and
partying
and you find it: your
shamrock
.
A face peeks out from the bottom of the cloverleaf, a green arm holds a
green beer
and toasts you.
Sláinte
!
May your thoughts be as happy as the shamrocks.
May your heart be as light as a song.
May every day bring you bright, happy hours that stay with you all year long.
Irish proverb
In Ireland and many other countries around the world,
Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated today,
March 17th .
And every St. Paddy's Day fanatic knows that on this holiday this saying becomes reality.
Our colleague Simon has prepared the perfect recipe if you need a really
good base
today : the Irish Flag Tarte Flambée.
Enjoy!
That's how it's done:
You need these ingredients:
Cream:
100 g crème fraîche
100 g goat's cream cheese
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp pepper
Tarte:
1 pack (260 g each) of tarte flambée dough on the cooling rack
100 g mozzarella, grated
150 g broccoli, sliced
150g cauliflower, sliced
150 g yellow Romanesco, sliced
Preparation is so easy:
For the cream:
In a bowl, season the crème fraîche and goat cheese with salt and pepper.
For the tarte flambée:
Spread the cream evenly over the finished tarte flambée dough.
Then sprinkle the tarte flambée with the mozzarella and cover a third of each with broccoli, cauliflower and yellow Romanesco to create the Irish flag.
And you're done.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day 🍀
