One of the great things about Taylor Swift is that when it's gone, it's still there.
As creative as she is popular, the music star, named personality of the year by Time magazine and who breaks sales record after sales record, is a queen of marketing by constantly occupying the field, multiplying albums, concerts and events.
Her current tour, “The Eras Tour”, where she plays - sold out in the biggest stadiums in the world - her hits in chronological order, will pass through France in May and June, but the six shows (at Paris and Lyon) have been sold out for a long time.
Generous, the American star therefore had the idea of having a recording of this giant concert made for those who could not obtain tickets, a musical documentary which was broadcast last October in 8,500 cinemas in 100 countries.
In France, 144 theaters from several networks screened the film, for fifteen screenings over four weekends, which were a hit.
Internationally, the release of the film in cinemas offered a new record for the musician, with 260 million dollars in revenue.
After long negotiations with several streaming platforms, the singer sold the film to the highest bidder, Disney +, which is therefore launching "Taylor Swift - The Eras Tour" on Friday March 15 in a "Taylor's version" enriched with "Cardigan » and four acoustic songs compared to the one released in cinemas and on VOD.
For the rest, what to expect when watching the film?
Fans are advised to come together for a joint viewing: electric atmosphere guaranteed, they will be able to dance in front of their television as if they were in the concert pit.
